ORCHID MIDI DRESS • Pattern

By CHALK & NOTCH, the Orchid Midi Dress is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details: The Orchid Midi Dress is a wrap bodice with a midi length skirt. View A has ruffle sleeves. View B has long sleeves with a gathered cap and wrist. There is a combination of elastic and drawstring to define the waist and add drape to the bodice.

Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 0-30, with two bust options. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here. 

Fabric Suggestions: This style is designed for a light to medium weight woven fabric with a nice drape. View A is best suited for rayon challis or rayon crepe to allow the ruffle sleeve to drape. A minimum fabric width of 45" (115cm) is required. Recommended fabrics are : rayon challis, rayon crepe, rayon voile, cotton lawn, cotton voile, linen and double gauze.

Trims required: Matching thread, 1m (1yd) of Tricot Fusible interfacing, 1m (1yd) of 1.25cm (1/2") Elastic waist drawstring and 70cm (3/4yd) of 1cm (3/8") elastic for View B cuffs.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
