Wash at 30 degrees. Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent, on a low spin.

We recommend pre washing your denim before sewing. Putting a large piece of medium-heavy weight denim into the washing machine can sometimes lead to white creases in the denim, this is because it is a stiff fabric so it doesn’t have room to move around. We recommend doing the following to help this not to happen:

  • Wash your denim on its own for the first wash.
  • Sink your denim in water before hand, letting it fully absorb, so you are putting in the denim already wet.
  • If you can break up your denim fabric into half this will help.
  • For the first wash use a delicate 30 degree cycle with non bio detergent on a low spin.
  • If any white creases develop ironing whilst still damp will help.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • When you have made the garment we would recommend washing it inside out.

Manufactured: Japan. Kaihara’s greatest strength lies in its fully integrated denim production system unique in the world. By performing all processes of making denim from spinning to finishing in-house, thorough quality control and stable supply are ensured. In addition, their own quality standards ensure that they ship only the denim fabrics that pass strict inspection standards as Kaihara products. As a result, they have earned high trust from around the world.

A little more about Kaihara Denim: KAIHARA DENIMS account for one in every 2 pairs of jeans made in Japan. They have a fully integrated system that starts with the raw cotton sourced from countries like Australia, the US & Brazil, spinning, dyeing with traditional indigo dyes, weaving, and through to the final product.  They have strict quality standards and are regularly tested by various objective third-party organisations such as JIS, ISO & AATCC.  Their manufacturing systems are far stricter than the national standards, with a state-of –the-arts effluent treatment facility.  They are dedicated to nature & society with best practice in an ethical & environmental way. http://www.kaihara-denim.com
