THE WHITTAKER • Pattern

By Merchant & Mills, The Whittaker is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details:  A classic pinafore for work and play. With a buttoned side fastening, side and back pockets. Make it long with a back split or short just below the knee. Accentuate the detailing with contrast topstitching or keep it simple with matching thread.

Sizing: This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes UK 6 – 18.   Sizing and finished garment measurements can be found here.

Fabric Suggestions: 8-12oz denim,  cotton twill or canvas, corduroy, moleskin, half panama cotton. For a softer look and feel you could try a mid weight linen, hemp/cotton blend, linen/cotton blend or Tencel/linen blend.

For the facings, we would recommend either a cotton muslin or a slip viscose lining.

Trims required: Matching thread, 1 x contrasting thread (optional: Gütermann Mara70 recommended) and 8 x 15-18mm Buttons

Skill Level: Suitable for an experienced skill level.

All seam allowances are included and 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.
