By DEER & DOE, the Chataigne Shorts is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: Shorts with inverted box pleats in two variations: regular waist and cuffs (version A), or high waist and scalloped hem (version B). Invisible zipper on the side.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 34 to 46. Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.
Camille's measurements: 5'8" - 34½"/26"/39⅜"
Sara's measurements: 5'6" - 33⅞"/26"/39¾"
Fabric Suggestions: Gabardine, twill, denim, wool blends. Allow extra fabric to match stripes or plaids.
Fabric used for version A: Suede and
Fabric used for version B: Robert Kaufman cotton flannel.
Trims required: Matching thread, 20” lightweight fusible interfacing and an 8” (version A) or 11” (version B) invisible zipper
