Garment Details: The Field Bag was originally designed and sold by Fringe Supply Co. and is now available to home sewers as a sewing pattern! The Field Bag is ideal for organizing knitting, sewing, embroidery, or other works-in-progress. It features a roomy main compartment with interior pockets designed for corralling tools, patterns, and miscellany; grommets for managing multiple strands of yarn; and a handy wrist strap.

Trims required: Matching thread, 2 yds (1.8m) – 5/32" circumference 100% cotton braided cording, 3 – 5/16" (8mm) grommets, 5/16" (8mm) round punch , 5/16" (8mm) hand grommet setter, Denim Machine Needle available here, Mallet
As the Field Bag requires a few notions that can be difficult to source in small quantities, we've have put together these for you in one kit!
Each Field Bag Notions Kit contains the grommets, cotton cord, and handle to make one Field Bag and can be purchased separately here.
Kit Contents:
- 5 grommets so you have enough to practice before your final setting
- A length of cotton cording to form the bag closure
- Choose either a leather or cotton webbing carrying handle
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, working with heavy fabrics, and setting grommets.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
You will receive an instruction booklet and tissue pattern tucked inside a paper envelope. The pattern is printed in the USA on recycled paper with soy-based inks.
