Yes we do!  Our Fabric Sample Packs can be found here.

OUR PACKAGING

How will my order be packed?

We use 100% Post-Consumer recycled brown paper to wrap & protect your items, A4 100% Post-Consumer recycled paper for your itemised packing slip & 100% Post-Consumer recycled paper envelopes, which are all purchased from a small Australian business called Ecocern. We use brown paper tape.

Fabric & other small or delicate items are wrapped in an acid free tissue paper. We have recently changed to white and no longer use sticky tape. Patterns that we receive from designers are sometimes wrapped in tissue paper, this is either re-used in packaging or for personal use when tracing patterns.

The tissue paper can be ironed (without steam) and then used for tracing out your next sewing project.

Single books are sent out in a recyclable cardboard book packs purchased from Big Red Packaging.

When we occasionally post something that is in need of a bit more protection, we have a collection of packing paper, tissue paper & cardboard that we have kept from deliveries and re-use these to pack your precious goodies.

Our orders are posted using mailing bags. Some are home-compostable, some are recycled & recyclable. We are using various brands, from companies such as the Australian owned Hero Packaging and NZ owned Better Packaging Co. Our address labels are also compostable by Better Packaging Co. Each mailing bag is different in the way it can be disposed of, please refer to the back of the mailing bag for directions on how to do this best and further information is available on the companies websites.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS

What is a digital pattern?

A digital pattern is an electronic copy of a sewing pattern that is emailed to you as a PDF or ZIP file. You can print the pattern at home on a regular home printer on either A4 or US letter sized paper. You then assemble the pages together to create the full-scale pattern. The purchase also includes a copy shop file - if you would prefer to skip the assembling and take the file to a copy shop to print onto large paper for you. Sewing instructions, lay plans and measurement charts are included in the PDF.

Where can I get my pattern printed in a large scale copy shop format (A0)?

Plan Make Do - Specialist Pattern Printing Service is a small Australian business based in Melbourne.

Office Works have a printing service for A0 files. You will find this service online by clicking - Print/Copy & Plans.

How can I access my digital pattern file/s?

Once you complete your purchase, you will be sent two emails to the email address associated with your order. The first email is an order confirmation/receipt, the second email contains a unique link to download your digital pattern. Click on the link to download and save the files to your hard drive (or storage device) for safe-keeping. If you can’t see where the pattern is, check the downloads file on your computer. Once you have saved your files you can access them as many times as you like.

I did not receive my download link.

If you don't receive an email containing a download link, it's probably because your email account has blocked it due to an unknown sender. Check your spam/trash box. Note that spam folder results do not come up when searching your inbox. If you use Gmail, it might have gone to your Promotions folder or Social folder. Also note that if you pay via PayPal and have a different email address associated with your PayPal account, the email with the download link can sometimes go to the address attached to your PayPal account regardless of what address you enter into the online shop as PayPal overrides this.

To avoid this problem, please add hello@patternscissorsfrock.com.au & delivery@shopify.com to your list of contacts before placing your order.

If you still don’t have your email with the download links, just reach out to us at hello@patternscissorsfrock.com.au and please include the pattern name and the order number in your email so we can help assist you faster.

I clicked the link to download my pattern and nothing happened.

When you click the link, the pattern will automatically download to your computer’s downloads folder. Check your downloads folder, you should see your pattern. If you don’t see it, make sure your internet browser is up to date and you don’t have any firewalls preventing downloads from occurring.
