AQUARIUS DRESS • Pattern

By FRENCH PEOTRY, The Aquarius Dress is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details: The Aquarius dress, is a short above the knee dress with a gorgeous  full skirt. It has long sleeves, the bodice is fitted with front & back waist darts, bust darts and a side zipper.

Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes XS-XL (2-16). Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.

Fabric Suggestions: The Aquarius dress pattern is designed for woven fabrics such as Broderie anglaise (eyelet/embroidered cotton), lace, crepe, twill, challis, silk, viscose, polyester, cotton, linen or tencel. 

Trims required: Matching thread, 1.4m of interfacing. A 40cm zipper,  2.7m of ladder lace trim (the embroidered part should be 1cm wide or close to this measurement), 75cm of stiff tulle/mesh fabric.

Skill Level: The pattern is placed at a Level 3-4 out of 5, on the French Poetry pattern skill scale. The difficulty lies depending on the chosen instructions: two versions are described in the booklet, one more suited to experienced sewists looking for a new challenge and wishing to learn new techniques. You will be guided throughout the process by a detailed booklet illustrated with over a hundred digital illustrations. You will learn haute couture techniques, and discover how to make a very full structured skirt, thanks to an ultra-light tulle structure that is never in contact with the skin.

The paper pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with a step-by-step assembly instruction in English.
