When it comes to jeans, perfect fit is a must. Get the look you love by customising your pattern using our interchangeable “apple” and “pear” pelvis pieces, and skinny and straight leg options.
These 5-pocket wardrobe essentials are the real deal, with features like rivets, belt loops and a fly front. And hold the style together with a high rise, and a pocket stay for secret smooth shaping.
This Cashmerette pattern includes:
- Two pelvis shape options, for “apple” or “pear” figures (see the instructions for how to choose your shape)
- Two leg options: skinny or straight
- An optional wider back pocket free download
Sizing: This is a multi-sized pattern in US sizes 12 to 32, with interchangeable pelvis (apple or pear fit) and leg (skinny or straight) pieces, 32-52” waist and 42-62” hip. Refer to Cashmerette's sizing calculator which will tell you exactly which size to make. Finished garment measurements & fabric requirements can be found here.
Rachel (bomber jacket) is wearing a 20 with straight legs in the pear fit and the wide back pocket. Her measurements are 39" waist and 49" hip.
Jenny (purple blazer) is wearing a size 22 graded to an 18 with skinny legs in the apple fit. Her measurements are 41" waist and 47" hip.
Char (sequined top) is wearing a size 30 with straight legs in the pear fit. Her measurements are 49” waist and 60.5” hip.
Gigi (orange sweater) is wearing a size 24 with skinny legs in the apple fit. Her measurements are 45” waist and 54” hip.
Dawn (gray t-shirt) is wearing a size 14 with straight legs in the pear fit.
Fabric Suggestions: Main: 9.5 - 12 oz stretch denim with at least 2% lycra and 10-15% crosswise stretch. Lining: non-stretch cotton. Interfacing: knit (stretch) or woven fusible, depending on preference for stretch in waistband.
Trims required: Denim / jeans needle, topstitching needle (optional), regular thread, topstitching thread, 7" (18 cm) metal jeans zipper, 1 jeans button, 8 jeans rivets (optional).
Skill Level: Suitable for an intermediate skill level.
