COTTON JACQUARD • Rushes $79.00/metre

By Merchant & Mills $79.00 per metre, sold by the metre.

1 Quantity = 1m

This is only produced in 5 metre pieces, if you order over 5metres it will not be sent in a continuous piece.

A soft pale green.

This layered cotton has a jacquard weave that gives it a quilted look and feel. There may be some white slubs throughout the cloth, these are not flaws. There will be colour variations between rolls. There may also be colour graduation over the piece.

The reverse is a gauzy cotton, there is no batting in the middle of this cloth, the inside is made up of a series of thicker yarns which gives it the quilted feel. The top is a fine cotton. If possible we would advise overlocking your raw edges before sewing to prevent fraying.

Perfect for the All Around Crew or quilted jackets like the Hovea by Megan Nielsen, suitable for oversized cushions, throws, quilt and smaller cosmetic bags. We recommend not using this for something that will sit in direct sunlight.

Garments featured in images are the Sidney jumper and a shortened Parka with a hood, both patterns by Merchant & Mills.

Beautiful fabric

I used this fabric to make the Tessuti Oslo coat and it turned out just as I imagined, I am so happy with it. I did have to overlock all the pieces first and some of them stretched a bit but I am competent enough to make it work. The fabric is fairly heavy and because of the green colour I chose, it gave a sort of mod vibe which is exactly what I wanted. I’m so in love with my coat.
