By P&M Patterns, Joy Top & Dress is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: With its cross straps at the back, JOY is the perfect top or dress for summer!
Here is a list of all its features:
- Front neckline: a modest V or a deep V,
- Bust cut line: an ascending V cut or a straight cut,
- Straps: wide or thin straps, both crossed at the back,
- Strap finish: with or without ruffles,
- The skirt can be either unlined or lined.
One thing is certain, you will have a lot of fun with this pattern since Joy’s variations are plentiful!
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 34 to 52. Sizing guide and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Cotton, linen, Tencel, dotted Swiss, lawn, seersucker, eyelet, viscose, crepe, silk, any lightweight fabric for blouse and dress with a nice drape.
Suggested fabrics for the lining (if lined skirt): lightweight cotton, viscose, any fabric that can be used to line garments.
Trims required: Matching thread, fusible seam tape, optional fusible interfacing.
Skill Level: The pattern is placed at a Level 2 out of 3, for an intermediate skill level, on the P&M pattern skill scale.
Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
The paper pattern includes a booklet in English, stating the difficulty level, the cutting layout, the step-by-step sewing instructions, along with size chart and fabric and notion requirements, two easy-to-read multi-size pattern sheets, with no overlapping pieces.
