By The Modern Sewing Co, the Boatneck Top is a PDF sewing pattern.

File Name: Boatneck TopType: ZIPSize: 8.48MB

Pages to print: Instructions - 8, A4/US Letter - 30, A0 - 2

Garment Details: The Boatneck Top is a wardrobe basic that’s designed to be useful for all 12 months of the year. It’s the perfect piece to comfortably layer under knits in winter or wear on it’s own in warmer months. It is a simple piece to make which means it’s a great project for beginners.

The PDF Pattern comes with in depth written instructions, an A4 tile copy, US Letter tiles and an A0 version. This pattern also comes with PDF Layers so you can choose to view only the sizes you need when printing.

Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 4-28. Sizes run true to UK sizing - full sizing details, including finished garment measurements can be found here.

Suitable fabrics: The Boatneck Top is a fitted jersey pattern which means it needs to be paired with a stretchy fabric. You can use a jersey with an elastane blend or a fabric knitted with plenty of stretch. For a wearable wardrobe basic we recommend using a lovely lightweight jersey in a fibre of your choice.

Fabric requirements: The lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage.

Self Fabric width 150cm | Sizes 4 - 12 = 100cm | Sizes 14 - 20 = 120cm  | Sizes 14 - 20 = 125cm

Self Fabric width 110cm | Sizes 4 - 12 = 120cm | Sizes 14 - 20 = 125cm | Sizes 14 - 20 = 150cm

Trims required: Matching thread,  1 x spool of thread or 4 spools if you're using an overlocker

Skill level: Suitable for beginners and early makers.

Construction techniques: Simple stretch stitch seams and a small amount of topstitching.

You can search instagram for customer makes with the hashtag #msboatnecktop

You will receive both an A4, A0 & US Letter size digital pattern along with step by step sewing instructions. You can either print your pattern at home on an A4 printer or send the A0 digital copy to a printing shop (there are many that do this for a very reasonable price). If you decide to print in A4 you will need to piece the tiles together to make one huge page. There is a guide on how to do this included in the instructions.

Using PDF layers: This pattern comes with PDF layers so you can select the sizes you want to view and print. To do this you’ll need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is free to download).
