Garment Details: The Jameela Jacket is a cozy jacket pattern with two length options: Hip length or cropped. This jacket is a quick sew as it is unlined and has simple design lines. It features two big welt pockets at the front and a box pleat at the back. The cropped version comes with a sleeve placket and a sleeve cuff whilst the longer version features a simple sleeve hem.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 1-9. Choose your size based on your bust measurement. This dress is an oversized look. The recommended positive ease is 2–3"/5–8cm at the bust. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: Mid- to heavy weight woven fabrics are best suited for this pattern, like: Canvas, thick denim, corduroy, twill, wool or jacquard.
If choosing thicker fabrics like wool or heavy weight jacquard, the boxy sleeve option of view B is better suited for these heavier fabrics. It is very hard to sew the sleeve placket and cuff of view A with thicker fabrics.
Trims required: Matching thread, interfacing: width 100cm x length 70cm, 4 x 20mm buttons for View A, 5 x 20mm buttons for the longer version View B, 2 x 12mm buttons for the cuffs of View A.
Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced skill level.
