WEEKEND CHORE SHORTS • PDF Pattern

Ok so I loved the look, bought the pattern and made some shorts. I measured myself and sized down as suggested. I couldn't believe how much fabric it took until I was finished and it made sense. I'd fashioned myself some pantaloons. They were huge. I could have made 2 pairs with the suggested amount of material. I call them the cinema snack sneakers.
So round 2. I wanted to make some for my sister so I resized the pattern to the smallest size to see how that faired. Sizing (me being XL) was perfect for me. So before I did the waist band I tried them and put a belt around to see the fit. They were perfect. So I put in the elastic actually measured to my waist. I am obviously much larger than the person in the image and can't imagine they used the size xs sizing as it is still very baggy on me. Also use a stiff material. I used a heavyweight linen that draped and was wretched. Now I've worked out the pattern proportions I need these are perfect and I love them and will make many. Have also made some with just the back pocket and they are very cool. Love it but it took a bit to get there. Easy to understand instructions and assembly.
