ORGANIC 6mm wide flat braided elastic.  

Price is per METRE and orders will be cut in one continuous length.

1 Quantiy = 1 metre = $4.50

Ecru(untreated natural colour).

70% organic cotton (Turkey)/30% natural rubber (Malaysian plantations).

It is suitable for light to medium weight fabrics such as batiste, poplin, jersey and sweat. The stretch length is 140%.

This elastic is often used for baby walkers, baby clothes, face masks, diapers or in the creation of dolls and cuddly toys.

The responsible, ecological alternative to conventional elastics. 

Environmentally friendly. Longer lifespan than comparable conventional elastic.

Tested against chlorine & heat

Biodegradable & recyclable. Plastic-free.

Wash at max. 40°C with approx 5% shrinkage at first wash. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a medium level if necessary.

Made in Austria from certified organic cotton & natural rubber. GOTS certified.

Soft, stretchy elastic

I’ve been looking for natural and ecologically responsible fabric and notions for my sewing projects, and I stumbled across this elastic and bought some. It’s less dense than the traditional elastic available at fabric stores and it’s softer on the skin. I’ve been using it for gathered sleeve hems and face mask straps and it works perfectly. Will definitely buy again.
