THE ALL SEASONS DRESS & SKIRT • Pattern
By TIL THE SUN GOES DOWN, the All Seasons Dress & Skirt is a paper sewing pattern.
Garment Details: The All Seasons Dress & Skirt design has been influenced by the styles of the 1930's with perhaps a 'nod' to the early 40's depending on your fabric choices.
Make the no sleeve version for the summer, the long sleeved one for the cooler months and the skirt for all seasons. Features include two inverted skirt pleats both front & back, triangular button closures on the cuffs and a button side placket.
Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes 8-24. Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.
Fabric Suggestions: All fabrics of medium weight are suitable for the dress pattern. Avoid obvious stripes, sheers or heavy fabrics. Weightier fabrics such as tweed, denim, velvet etc. are also suitable for the skirt.
Trims required: Matching thread, interfacing for button bands & side placket, three medium size buttons for front bodice, plus two for long sleeve cuffs & six smaller ones for side closure (or press-studs). For the skirt alone just four buttons are needed or a zip if preferred. Stiffening for self made belt & buckle.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
The paper pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with a step-by-step assembly instructions.
