Garment Details: The Harmonic Set is a tribute to flag symbology and 70's disco glam. A top and skirt set to maximise wardrobe possibilities.
The Harmonic Top is packed with features using the soft, elegant fit as a canvas. Circular keyhole neckline, balloon sleeve into a faux-shirred cuff, plus optional wave and contrast external facing to dial up the statement.
Pair it with the Harmonic Skirt for a twinning wave hem. The shaped faux-shirred deep waistband offers a perfect mid-hip fit and it includes pockets.
The Harmonic Set can be made with or without the wave feature, cutting layouts are available for both options.
Sizing: This is a multi-sized pattern in Australian sizes 6-30. Sizing chart can be found here. The Harmonic Top has thirteen sizes covering the size range.
The Harmonic Top has a loose fit with a semi-shaped shoulder for a touch of squareness above the flowing balloon sleeve. The armhole is super deep and cuts into the bodice with a cape-like effect. There are darts in the back neck (covered by a curved yoke) and bust for an elevated fit. The body fit is loose with slight flaring and a curved centre-back seam. The hem is curved high/low shirt tail style, perfect for tucking.
The Harmonic Skirt starts with a wide waistband shaped by four channels housing narrow elastic at different lengths, creating a textured and shaped yoke, a perfect midpoint to the Harmonic volume. The elastic can be adjusted mid-make to tighten or loosen the waist to sit at your preferred height.
There are three sizes covering the size range and a guideline for elastic lengths.
Fabric Suggestions: Options for the Harmonic Set include using one colour and excluding wave design, or two fabrics in contrasting colours.
Suggested fabrics are lighter textiles that gather well and have enough stability to form the wave shapes. Linen, cotton and stable varieties of cellulose fabrics. Fabric weight under 150gsm is recommended to minimise the density of the gathers. If using two colours, ensure fabrics are a similar weight. Non-standard grainlines are utilised to reduce fabric requirements therefore directional prints are not advised. Super drapey fabrics for the experienced seamstress.

Trims required: Matching thread, elastic 6-8mm wide for the Harmonic Top you will need your wrist circumference x 6 + 39 cm (15 ⅜") & for the Harmonic Skirt your waist circumference x 4 + 32 cm (12 ⅝") & super-light fusible interfacing for the Harmonic Top 40 cm x 40 cm (15 ¾" x 15 ¾")

The paper pattern comes packaged in an envelope and includes highly detailed fully illustrated instructions.
