Garment Details: Pleiades 1 is a short dress, that sits just above the knee, with a V-neck, optional decorative buttons and statement sleeves. View 1: Has tied sleeves & a large ruffled bottom. View 2: Plain long sleeves and a gathered skirt and View 3: Features lantern sleeves and a gathered skirt.

A stunning versatile dress pattern for all seasons. 

Sizing: This is a multi-size pattern, including sizes XS-XL (2-16) or XL-6XL (16-34). Sizing guide, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.

Fabric Suggestions: The Pleiades 1 dress pattern is designed for woven fabrics such as crepe, twill, poplin, double gauze, cotton, viscose, polyester, linen or Tencel. This pattern looks amazing in velvet, as it has shoulder gathers instead of bust darts. 

Trims required: Matching thread, a 55cm (21in) zipper, interfacing in the right weight for your fabric (half a yard or one meter will be enough), 6 buttons for the bodice (they are decorative but also a way to hold facing in place even better). You will also need some strips of interfacing or organza to stabilize seams that are on the bias, to prevent any stretching (optional but recommended).

Skill Level: The pattern is placed at a Level 3 out of 5, on the French Poetry pattern skill scale, which means you should be at an intermediate skill level. You will need to sew a zipper and make gathers on several pieces (there are videos about these techniques here).
