Blue Green - a mid blue with a grey undertone.
This is a casual soft cotton canvas from India in a mid blue with a hint of grey and a chalky matte finish.
Merchant & Mills have called this a soft canvas as although it has a canvas appearance, it does not have the stiff structure of your typical canvas. If you choose to make something like the Stacker Jacket or Foreman it will be a lightweight jacket, more of a ‘shacket’.
Same with trousers, this cloth has the ability to gather nicely without being too bulky, ideal for cooler weather weight pant or skirt pattern with a gathered waist, such as the 101's trousers by M&M, the Pietra Pants by Closet Core or the Elastic Waist Maxi Skirt by The Assembly Line.
This cloth would also make a great Finch Button Up or Arbor shirt or something like the Cawley or Etta dress, all by Merchant & Mills or it would make a great Rushcutter Dress by In The Folds. You could also use it for bag linings or cushion covers.

This fabric is not pre washed, always pre wash your fabric to get rid of any shrinkage (see below). The fabric will soften after being washed and the colour will be ever so slightly more washed out.
Keep this cloth separate for the first wash. Machine wash cool at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent, do not tumble dry. Iron on a low setting. Do not dry in direct sunlight.
This cloth has a shrinkage of 10%.
