By Merchant & Mills, The Ellsworth is a paper sewing pattern.

Garment Details: An oversized, boxy shirt with a dropped back hem and half placket. Swingy and absurdly comfortable.

Sizing: This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes UK6–18 or UK18-28. Sizing, finished garment measurements and fabric requirements can be found here.

Maxine wears a 14 in Bertie linen. Elwen wears a 14, for an oversized look in Bertie linen. Elwen wears a size 10 in linen. Katie wears a size 8 in Jaffa Indian cotton. Brenda wears a size 10 in M&M Warm White 160gsm.

Claire wears a UK 26 in M&M Euphoria Tencel/linen and Larli wears a UK 20 in M&M Esme hemp/cotton chambray. 

Fabric Suggestions: 3-6oz linen, cotton poplin, cotton lawn, cotton double gauze, cotton chambray, Tencel, hemp/cotton blends. Do not choose anything too heavy, as the back is lower than the front it will pull down making it uncomfortable at the neck!

Trims required: Matching thread, 6 x 11-15mm (1/2″–3/4″) buttons and 0.3M (1/2YD) lightweight interfacing.

Skill Level: Suitable for Intermediate

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

    That’s nice and easy to understand to start sewing! I really enjoyed it. Design is simple but trendy. However just one thing is that the pattern has only one color to draw different size. There are different lines patterns but it’s quite difficult to see between lines. If it’s possible to use the different colors with each size on the pattern it’ll be great for me. That’s why 4 stars sorry.
